Sad news regarding Roy Gurney

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Life Vice President Roy Gurney.

Roy played for the club for many years, was an umpire and familiar face to many of us on the Sussex circuit. He was from the school of umpires who loved to have a post match drink and share a story or two.

Roy was still attending our AGMs in recent years, and will be missed as a supporter of the Club.

His funeral was attended by Club President Fred Brotherton.

Our thoughts go out to Roy's family.
