Privacy policy
Mid Sussex Hockey Club takes member privacy and protection of personal data seriously.
Please read details within the Data section to understand how we protect personal information we hold.
Data policy

Data
Mid Sussex Hockey Club (through the use of Pitchero) gathers personal data to help the club operate.
We only gather a minimal set that we believe helps us operate appropriately and efficiently.
We do not share this data outside of approved club members.
We protect this data by use of the controls within Pitchero, and primarily providing access to the minimum set of club members as possible.
Club members that have access to personal data will have been DBS checked.

Refreshing Data
You will be asked annually (upon membership renewal) to refresh your data to ensure it is current.
It is your responsibility to keep the data accurate so that we can manage your membership and playing experience effectively. You can update this anytime you need.
If you are not renewing membership for the season, please remove yourself from the club if you no longer wish to engage with us.

Club Update
The club annually reviews membership records and will remove members we believe are no longer a valid member of the club. If we have removed a record by mistake, simply request to become a member again.

Photographs
When you complete the membership application you will be asked to confirm if taking photographs is allowed. The relevant policy can be found here:

Communication
We endeavour to use the Pitchero communication tools to securely communicate with you.
Outside of this, you may optionally join WhatsApp groups to assist in team communications. This data is protected as per the terms of WhatsApp use and is outside the control of Mid Sussex HC.

Leaving Mid Sussex HC
Within Pitchero, you are in control of your membership. If you leave the club, please use the Pitchero App or website to "remove" yourself from the club. Mid Sussex HC will then not have access to the data you provided. If you are unable to remove yourself from the club for any reason, please contact info@midsussexhockey.co.uk.

When as a new member you join the club and when you complete annual membership renewal, you will be confirming that you have read and will abide by the club rules and code of conduct. All members should read and comply with these policies.
